What it is
A water-soluble wound care hydrogel applied directly to a wound. It holds moisture at the wound surface and does not stick to new tissue when removed.
Who may consider it
Anyone with a clean minor wound: a cut, a graze from a fall, a post-procedure site. Diabetic wound care and chronic wounds only under a healthcare professional.
What happens next
Clean the wound, apply a thin layer, let it dry or cover it, and check it daily. If it is not improving within a week, get it seen.

Why Moisture Is the Whole Point

For most of medical history, wounds were dried out and left to scab. In 1962 George Winter showed the opposite: wounds kept moist re-surfaced roughly twice as fast as wounds left open to air. Modern wound care has been built on that finding ever since.

A wound care hydrogel is how you hold that environment. This gel is water-soluble, so it keeps the wound bed moist, rinses away without tearing at new tissue, and does not form a hard scab for cells to climb over.

The honest limit. A gel manages the wound surface. It does not take pressure off a foot, remove dead tissue, treat an infection or fix poor circulation. On a chronic or diabetic wound, those four things are what actually decide the outcome, and none of them come in a tube.

IF YOU HAVE DIABETES, READ THIS FIRST
Diabetic wound care is not normal wound care, and it is not a home project

Diabetes reduces sensation, so a foot wound can get significantly worse without hurting. It also slows circulation, so a wound that looks small on the surface can be much deeper than it appears. Delay is the single biggest cause of avoidable amputation in diabetes, and delay usually looks like treating at home and waiting to see.

What actually heals a diabetic foot wound is pressure offloading, removal of dead tissue, control of infection, and assessment of blood flow to the foot. International guidance is clear that these are the standard of care and that no wound care product substitutes for them. This gel supports the wound surface alongside that care. It is not a replacement for any part of it.

So: get the wound assessed first. Use this only if your doctor, podiatrist or wound nurse has looked at it and told you to. Keep your review appointments even if it looks like it is improving. If you have diabetes and a wound on your foot that you did not notice happening, treat that as urgent rather than routine.

What This Wound Care Hydrogel Is Used For

01

Everyday Cuts and Grazes
Clean minor wounds from kitchen cuts, scrapes and falls. Holds the wound moist so it does not dry into a hard scab.

For wounds left by a clinic procedure, once your practitioner has cleared you to apply anything topical to the site.

Clinic Aftercare

04

Diabetic Wound Care
Only under a doctor, podiatrist or wound nurse, alongside offloading, debridement and infection control. Never on its own.

Is This For You?
Who This Wound Care Gel Suits

For clean, minor wounds you can look after at home, and as part of professional care for anything more than that.

  • Minor cuts, grazes and abrasions from a fall
  • Small wounds left by a clinic procedure, once cleared by your practitioner
  • Anyone who finds dressing changes painful because the wound dressing sticks
  • Continuing scar gel care on the mark left after a wound has closed
  • Diabetic wound care and chronic wounds: only under a healthcare professional who has assessed the wound
  • Not for a deep, gaping or heavily bleeding wound, a puncture, a bite, or a burn beyond a small superficial one. Those need to be seen, not dressed at home
  • Not for a wound that is already infected, and not a substitute for antibiotics where they are needed
  • Not for use in the eye, in the mouth, or inside a body cavity

Stop and see a doctor today if any of these appear

Spreading redness or a red streak running away from the wound · increasing pain rather than settling pain · swelling, heat or hardness around the edges · pus or a bad smell · fever or feeling unwell · the wound getting larger, deeper or darker · black tissue at the wound edge or base · numbness or coldness in the limb · no visible improvement after 7 days.

If you have diabetes, any of the above is urgent, not something to watch for another few days.

How To Use This Wound Care Hydrogel

1
Clean
Clean the wound with saline or clean water. Pat the surrounding skin dry.

2
Apply
Smooth a thin layer over the wound, once or twice a day.

3
Dry or Cover
Let it air dry, or keep it bandaged if the wound is large.

4
Check Daily
Look at the wound every day against the warning signs above.
Apply once or twice a day. For external use only. Do not apply to infected wounds, deep or puncture wounds, bites, or wounds with foreign material in them. Avoid contact with the eyes. Discontinue and seek advice if irritation occurs. If you have diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, are on immunosuppressive medication, or the wound has not improved in 7 days, use only under a healthcare professional’s direction. Keep out of reach of children.
Evidence and Research

The references below describe the science of moist wound management and the international standard of care for diabetic foot wounds. They are background reading, not evidence of an outcome for any individual. The second is included because it sets out plainly what a wound care product can and cannot do for a diabetic wound.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is this wound care hydrogel dressing and how does it work?

It is a water-soluble bioactive wound care hydrogel applied directly to a wound. It holds moisture at the wound surface, which is the environment wounds re-surface fastest in, and it lifts away without sticking to new tissue. Five actives: glycosaminoglycans, hydrolysed collagen, sodium hyaluronate, Pro-Vitamin B5 and glycerine. One 10ml tube, RM75.

Can I use this for diabetic wound care?

Only under a doctor, podiatrist or wound nurse who has assessed the wound. Diabetic wounds heal on four things: taking pressure off the site, removing dead tissue, controlling infection, and checking blood flow to the limb. No gel does any of those. Used as part of that care it supports the wound surface. Used instead of it, it delays the review that protects your foot.
Why do wounds heal better moist than dry?

A dry wound forms a hard scab, and new skin cells have to migrate underneath or around it, which takes longer. In 1962 George Winter showed that wounds kept moist re-surfaced roughly twice as fast as wounds left open to air. That single finding is why modern wound dressings are designed to hold moisture rather than dry a wound out.
Can I use it on a cut or a graze from a fall?

Yes, for clean minor wounds. Rinse the wound first with clean water or saline to get grit and dirt out, pat the skin around it dry, then apply a thin layer once or twice a day. If the graze still has embedded gravel, or the cut is deep, gaping or will not stop bleeding, that needs to be seen rather than dressed at home.
How do I know if my wound is infected?

The signs are spreading redness, a red streak leading away from the wound, increasing rather than settling pain, swelling or heat at the edges, pus, a bad smell, or fever. Any of those means stop and see a doctor today. This gel is not an antiseptic and does not treat an infection. If you have diabetes, treat any of these as urgent.
How often should I apply it, and how long does a tube last?

Apply once or twice a day, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Let it air dry, or keep the wound bandaged if it is large. Only a thin layer is needed, so a 10ml tube covers a small wound for a long course or a larger area for a shorter one. A thicker layer does not work better.
Does it sting, and does it hurt to remove?

The formula is water-soluble and non-adherent, which is the point: it rinses off rather than pulling at the new tissue underneath, so dressing changes are less painful than with a wound dressing that has dried onto the wound. If it stings on application or you notice new irritation, stop using it and get the wound checked.

How long before the wound should look better?

A clean minor wound usually shows visible progress within a few days and closes over one to two weeks, depending on its size and where it is. Seven days with no visible improvement is the point to stop and get it assessed, whoever you are. A wound that is not moving is telling you something the gel cannot fix.
Can I use it as a scar gel after the wound has closed?

Yes. Once the skin has closed, continuing to apply it as a scar gel supports hydration of the new skin and the appearance of the mark left behind. That part is slow and is measured in weeks. It softens how a scar looks. It does not remove a scar, and it will not flatten a raised or thickening one, which needs a doctor.
Is this a medicine?

No. It is a medical device for external use on the skin. It manages the wound surface. It is not an antiseptic, not an antibiotic, and not a painkiller, and it does not replace the assessment, cleaning, offloading or infection treatment that a wound may need. For any wound you are unsure about, see a doctor.
Not sure whether this is right for your wound?

Tell us what the wound is, how it happened, how long it has been there, and whether you have diabetes. Our care team will tell you whether this wound care solution fits, or whether you should be seen by a doctor first. We would rather send you to a clinic than sell you a tube. No obligation.

What to expect, honestly. On a clean minor wound this does the job a good wound care hydrogel does: keeps the surface moist, makes dressing changes less painful, and lets the wound close without a hard scab. On a diabetic or chronic wound it is one part of a plan that only works if the other parts are in place, and the part that matters most is usually keeping weight off the wound. If you take one thing from this page, take the seven-day rule: a wound that is not visibly improving after a week needs a professional to look at it.

Nath Plus Regenerating Gel is a medical device for external use on the skin. It is intended to support a moist wound environment. It is not an antiseptic, an antibiotic or an analgesic, and it does not treat infection. It does not replace wound assessment, cleaning, removal of dead tissue, pressure offloading, infection treatment or vascular assessment, all of which may be required and none of which a topical product provides. Do not apply to infected wounds, deep or puncture wounds, bites, burns beyond small superficial ones, wounds containing foreign material, or any wound that is heavily bleeding. Not for use in the eyes, mouth or any body cavity. Individual results vary and no outcome is guaranteed. If you have diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, an immune condition, or take immunosuppressive medication, use only under the direction of a healthcare professional who has assessed the wound. Seek medical attention today for spreading redness, increasing pain, swelling, heat, pus, odour, fever, black tissue, numbness or coldness in the limb, or any wound that has not improved within 7 days. Diabetes-related foot wounds require urgent professional assessment: delayed care is a leading cause of avoidable amputation. Keep out of reach of children. Please disclose all medication and medical conditions to your healthcare professional before use.
