Every tier carries AFP, CEA, CA 19-9, CA 125 and CA 15-3. Counts are tests, not reported values: several rows are multi-parameter panels, so Cancer Essential still returns roughly 70 numbers. ✓ +ESR means the blood count is upgraded to a full blood examination with ESR. The cancer screening for men panel is priced separately at Cancer Screening for Men.
If you are hoping to rule cancer out, this cannot do that. Markers can be raised for benign reasons and normal in the presence of disease, so they are a baseline reading rather than a cancer test.
If a symptom is worrying you right now, see a doctor. A report in 5 to 7 working days is the wrong instrument for something happening today.
If you want the male marker set with PSA, book Cancer Screening for Men instead. This page is the female panel.
How It Works
Collected at 35 partner centres nationwide and processed in one CAP-accredited laboratory operating to MS ISO 15189. Every report is read by a doctor registered with the Malaysian Medical Council before your e-consultation. Marker assays are not directly comparable between laboratories, so repeat the panel with us if you want the numbers to mean something next to each other.
Major oncology guidelines position cancer markers as validated for monitoring known disease and for risk assessment in defined high-risk groups, rather than as a general screen in people at average risk. CA 125 is the most studied example: the PLCO trial reported ovarian cancer mortality outcomes for annual CA 125 plus ultrasound screening in average-risk women (Buys SS, et al. JAMA. 2011;305(22):2295. doi.org/10.1001/jama.2011.766), and UKCTOCS reported long-term follow-up of a multimodal CA 125 strategy (Menon U, et al. Lancet. 2021;397(10290):2182 to 2193. doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(21)00731-5). CA 15-3 is a monitoring marker rather than a screening test, and population breast screening rests on mammography (US Preventive Services Task Force. JAMA. 2024;331(22):1918. doi.org/10.1001/jama.2024.5534). This is why the panel pairs markers with a general health screening rather than selling markers alone.
This is a package people often book for the wrong reason. Tell our care team what prompted you to look, and they will tell you whether this fits, whether a plain health screening is the better spend, or whether what you actually need is a doctor rather than a blood test.

Cancer markers can be raised for benign reasons and normal in the presence of disease, and are interpreted only in clinical context. This package is not a test for cancer: it does not detect, confirm or exclude cancer, and a normal result does not rule out all disease. It does not replace a mammogram, a pap smear or HPV test, a colonoscopy, a low-dose CT, an ultrasound or a biopsy, and it does not image an organ or biopsy anything. CA 125 is not recommended as a standalone ovarian cancer screening test in women at average risk, and CA 15-3 does not replace a mammogram. About one person in ten does not produce CA 19-9 for genetic reasons. A licensed doctor reviews every report and will advise whether further investigation is needed. Screening is not a substitute for clinical assessment of an active symptom: if you are currently unwell, please see a doctor rather than waiting 5 to 7 working days for a result. Reference ranges and individual results vary, and marker assays are not directly comparable between laboratories. All samples are processed by a CAP-accredited laboratory operating to MS ISO 15189 in Malaysia. Please disclose all medication and supplements, existing medical conditions, pregnancy or possible pregnancy and recent illness before your appointment.
