Itinerary
DAY 1: Hanoi – Sapa Town – Cat Cat Village (L, D)Â
- 6.00 am – 6.30 am: Pick up at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or meeting point, get on the bus, and depart for Sapa Town. We drive on the Hanoi – Lao Cai Expressway and there are 2 rest stops.Â
- 1.30 pm: Arrive at Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of Hmong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic people. And wait at the bus station for the tour guide and driver to pick you up at the hotel and have lunch.Â
- 2.30 pm: Take a short walk to the gate of Cat Cat Village, which is the home of the Black Hmong ethnic people. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photos with the bridge and waterfall; then you will walk uphill for the bus to pick you up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon. The trekking distance is about 2.5km and it lasts for 2 hours.Â
- 5.00 pm: Come back to Sapa Town. Have dinner at a local restaurant then overnight at Sapa Town Hotel with a 3-star standard room.Â
Day 2: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D)Â
- 7.00 am – 8.30 am: Have breakfast at the hotel and wait for the tour guide and a car coming.Â
- 8.30 am – 8.45 am: Trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. The trekking distance is about 12km and it lasts for 4 hours.Â
- 12.00 pm – 1.30 pm: Have lunch with delicious Vietnamese dishes made by the family. In the late afternoon, you arrive at Ta Van Village – home of the Dzay ethnic group.Â
- 3.30 pm: The transfer car will pick you up to come back to Sapa Town.Â
- 6.00 pm: Have dinner at a local restaurant. In the evening, you have free time to discover night activities in Sapa Town. You can enjoy roasted corn, and baked eggs beside a charcoal fire or go shopping. Especially on Saturday night, we highly recommend a stop at the Love Market which is one of the unique cultures of ethnic minorities Hmong, and Dzao in Lao Cai in particular and North West of Vietnam in general.Â
Day 3: Fansipan peak – Hanoi (B, L)Â
- 7.00 am – 8.30 am: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out the room.Â
- 8.30 am: After breakfast, our driver will take you to the Cable Car Station and then you will spend 20 minutes with a cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery. Reach the altitude of 2800 meters, you have a good time to see the view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations, and trek up to 600 steps you will reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina. (Spend about 1,5 hours for hiking and taking photos).Â
- 12.00 pm: Come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town.Â
- 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm: Have lunch at a local restaurant.Â
- 1.30 pm – 2.45 pm: Relax and enjoy yourself, and if you want, take a shower in the hotel’s public bathroom.Â
- 2.45 pm – 3.00 pm: Meet all the group members at the hotel to get ready for Hanoi.Â
- 4.30 pm: Get on the bus to go back to Hanoi with two rest stops.Â
- 9.30 pm – 9.45 pm: Arrive in Hanoi and go back to your hotel by yourself.Â
